Fire_Camp: The heat is on

Originally uploaded by Danny Walker 1.

Fire Camp have been cooking up a storm for a while now, scorching the roads with every release. And if you don’t like that heat, get out of their kitchen. Catching up with the 10 resident chefs, RWD got the latest on what’s happening with the collective... Interviews taken from

Lethal Bizzle, 23
What do you bring to the Camp?

I’m the driver, the Motivational Man with the business mind.
Tell us about the Fire Camp mix CD Living Legends: Vol. 1?
Basically, it’s a way forward to help promote us, music from our forthcoming album and to make the DJ the star. There are remixes from my album and just crazy stuff with Fire Camp mixed by DJ Twister. It’s a build up to the album, which will be coming out in 2006.
Are there any tracks we should definitely look out for?
If I Didn’t Buss. I made it two years ago - it’s very controversial.
More controversial than The Truth, from your Against All Oddz?
That’s nothing. I don’t want to give too much away, but it basically involves people in the scene, saying if I didn’t buss in music I would be making money off artists still, but in a different kinda way (laughs)!
A few famous bars please...
‘POW! Yeah, I’m Leth-with-the-B,’ ‘Oi, who’s that boy Lethal B,’ ‘Uh oh, Bizzle’s back in town’...
Tell us about Lethal Bizzle Records...
It’s all set up now; the first big project is going to be Fire Camp. I feel a lot of these A&R’s don’t like the music and all these bands are getting successful in rock and indie cos the A&R’s are indie guys - they fully understand the music. I think I can fill that gap with this music.
What do you think of the guy called Lethal Bizzle?
He’s a smart man, with big objectives who is jumping over hurdles. If he does it, I think he’s really gonna make a big statement.

What element do you bring to the crew?

I’m Lethal’s DJ. I play out when Lethal or Fire Camp need me to.
What do you think of Biz?
I haven’t said this to him but... I appreciate what he done for man. If it wasn’t for him I probably wouldn’t be here. There are plenty of other DJs but he brought me in and safe for that.

The bashment flavour, I’m the only bashment artist and I bring that energy into Fire Camp.
Give us some reload bars...
‘You and me are gonna make the cheese and, come ‘ere so we fee shot the ki’s and...’
Who are you closest to in the Camp?
Ozzie B is my half brother, so I’m close to him. But I’m close to Bizzle as well.
Why should we look out for Knowledge?
Cos he brings a lot to the Fire Camp table. Knowledge is Knowledge innit.
What do you really think of Bizzle?
He’s big! He’s doin’ it. No if’s, no but’s, he’s big, he’s big.

Last time I spoke to 2Face you guys had just done your (War/ Blown Away) bar-for-bar combo. .What happened to it?

Myself and 2Face are really creative. Really and truly, for a while it was starting to get old. We always try and progress.
Give us some reload bars...
‘Blown Away’ is one of my main ones and ‘Do what we want/ Ok’ and ‘Chat my name if you dare’...
What do you REALLY think of Bizzle?
He’s cool. He’s doing his thing. Obviously we’re all different people and there are certain things I would have done differently if I was in his position but the way he’s doing things and being successful right now, he’s doin’ well and I’m supporting him all the way, get me.

What’s happening with Living Legends?
Well, I’ve got my A Man on Fire mix CD, but with Fire Camp one look out for me on Forward 2. I’m also working on a couple of other things.
Give us a few reload bars...
The most famous one right now goes... ‘Yeah, it’s Gam/ I don’t give a damn.’
Who are you closest to in the Camp?
Boy, I’d have to say Ozzie, that’s my family, he’s my cousin. But most closest friend-wise is Knowledge.
Can you give us any light on the Fire Camp album?
All I can say is that it could be called, The Great Fire of London.

It’s been good.
Give us some bars Wizz?
‘Shotgun raw’ that was on New Era, I’ve got a tune called Fusion coming out with much more on there and another one with a video The Streets.
Who are you closest to in the crew?
Ozzie B and Knowledge.
Are you related to Ozzie B, everyone seems to have some blood connection?
I’m not related, but it’s just like, everyone is fam now, innit.

He’s big, on a real like, he’s big!

What tracks should we look out for on Living Legends?
I’ve done a rap and garage thing.
A few famous bars please?
‘You’re barking up the wrong tree, the spotlight’s on me’, ‘Wha-va-got, wha-va-got, think that you’re ho-va-got, na but you’re not’ and ‘Who is he? I’m Fumin...’ get me.
What do you really think of Bizzle?
Of Bizzle? He’s talented man. He’s headed in the right direction, he’s opened doors and is doin’ well. He’s a good example to us cos he’s got his head screwed on.
What’s ‘06 gonna be saying for Fumes?
I’ve just finished my World War 1 mix CD, which has got a big buzz about it, so look out for 2 and 3. Also look out for Freckle Face 1/ 2.

[Shouts with smile on face] Hype, catchiness!
Give us some reload bars...
‘You don’t wanna waar-ooor’, ‘who’s that ni**a’, ‘I don’t really like your tone so cool off.’
What do you really think of Bizzle?
Bizzle’s mooooovin’, 100%! He’s moving the scene forward, not just the Fire Camp but he’s building the whole scene up.
Tell us about these fresh Fire Camp tracksuits?
Yeah, big up adidas, they done it live. I won’t be wearing it on road too much, cos it’s a bit mad, but for shoots, it’s cool.

Skary, 19
What do you add to the Fire Camp?

I’m one of the newest members, I’m just not a normal MC, I got the hooks, the content and different bars you just wouldn’t hear from them other MCs.
Give us a couple of bars.
You’ve heard Countdown Riddim ‘Punch you up like a boxer.’ That was me on there.
Who would you say you were closest to in the Camp?
Everyone, everyone, everyone, everyone...
What about Bizzle?
Bizzle is big, it’s not even a bread, I don’t care what people say. There are a lot of people who wanna be where I’m at today and I’m just grateful that these mans spotted me out.
And what will 2006 bring?
A Fire Camp album, Skary Mix CD and Ozzie’s album.

Junk Mail of the Month: Here Are My Bank Details Hassan

Originally uploaded by Danny Walker 1.

Norton just intercepted this beauty. It may go down as Junk Email Of The Year. Oh Hassan I feel your plight, here are my bank details... Cock Breath!!!

Please read to the end for the full joke factor.

Dear Friend,

As you read this, I don`t want you to feel sorry for me, because, I believe
everyone will die someday.

My name is Hazard Hassan a merchant in Dubai, in the U.A.E.I have been
diagnosed with Esophageal cancer. It has defiled all forms of medical
treatment, and right now I have only about a few months to live, according to
medical experts.

I have not particularly lived my life so well, as I never really cared for
anyone (not even myself) but my business. Though I am very rich. I was never
generous,I was always hostile to people and only focused on my business ,as
that was the only thing I cared for. But now I regret all this as I now know
that there is more to life than just wanting to have or make all the money
in the world.

I believe when God gives me a second chance to come to this world I could
live my life a different way from how I have lived it. Now that God has
called me, I have willed and given most of my property and assets to my
immediate and extended family members as well as a few close friends.

I want God to be merciful to me and accept my soul so, I have decided to
give also to charity organizations, as I want this to be one of the last
good deeds I do on earth. So far, I have distributed money to some charity
organizations in the U.A.E, Algeria and Malaysia. Now that my health has
deteriorated so badly, I cannot do this myself anymore.

I once asked members of my family to close one of my accounts and distribute
the money which I have there to charity organization in Bulgaria and
Pakistan, they refused and kept the money to themselves. Hence, I do not
trust them anymore, as they seem not to be contended with what I have left
for them.

The last of my money which no one knows of is the huge cash deposit of
eighteen million dollars $18,000,000,00 that I have with a finance/Security
Company abroad. I will want you to help me collect this deposit and
dispatched it to charity organizations.
Contact me with the above via e-mail

I have set aside 15% for you and for your time.

God be with you,

Hazard Hassan.
