Last night (Monday August 16th) saw the Rex Cinema get the full dancehall treatment as Sean Paul blessed the lucky few with a sneak listen to his impending new album. The Dutty Rock star who introduced every track was in good spirits and even had time to teach listeners a new dance (handed down from the legendary very Mr Boogle himself), the Willy Bounce. Mr Paul showed us his moves and Willy Bounced all night. It was kinda like a lil’ foot shuffle and arm sway all in one motion. The right arm is placed in an L type position and is pivoted from left to right but make sure not to a exceed 10° movement and ensure you have it on lock before Carnival. Anyway, the third album from one of Jamaica’s biggest exports is called The Trinity and sees the collabo king go down a slightly different route. He told listeners he’s “giving the shine back to Jamaica” and sees him work with lesser known artists this time around like Wayne Marshall, Nina Sky, looga Man, Kid Kurup, Tami Chynn, Daddy Yankee and Tino Olabarria.

We can proudly be the ones to tell you to look out for big tracks like I’ll Take You There, Seasons and Change the Game featuring Looga Man and kid Kurup and the reggaeton niceness which is Oh Man feat, Daddy Yankee and Tino Olabarria. The latter was produced Jig Zag Sean-a-Paul’s bro who also attended the party.

The first single is scheduled for September 12th and will be the banger We Be Burnin out on Atlantic, with the album to follow September 26th. Watch this space as more details to follow…
